Seed Sovereignty Field Day from NOFA

The Massachusetts chapter of the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA Mass) is holding a Seed Sovereignty Field Day on Oct 22 in Dartmouth, Mass.

It’s a schlep from Tufts, but looks like it will be a great event. Even if you’re not able to attend, it’s worth reading the description for the rationale about seed sovereignty and the Participatory Plant Breeding (PPB) movement. It makes a strong argument for small farmers keeping or regaining control over the seeds they plant, and on matching what they grow to the specific bioregional characteristics of where they’re farming.
