The Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy

With five academic programs in different fields of nutrition, much of the work done at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy intersects with food systems.  The Friedman School is home to many research projects and initiatives that focus on the public policy and programs, agriculture practices, and biological mechanisms that impact food systems. The faculty at the Friedman School are directly involved in much of the food system transformation work going on around the globe. Partnered with the Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging, faculty at the Friedman School have made many contributions to advancements in our scientific understanding of nutrition and health aging. Numerous other partnerships place the Friedman School’s faculty and students at the nexus of food systems work from ecology to food security to health communication.
