The largest school at Tufts University, the School of Arts and Sciences is deeply oriented to interdisciplinary liberal arts education. The breadth of the School includes 70 undergraduate degree programs through 29 academic departments and undergraduate and graduate interdisciplinary research through the 15 centers and institutes. The School of Arts and Sciences intersects with food systems in many ways, as many faculty and students participate in education and research across several Tufts schools. Included below are the areas that have the most to do with food systems. Of course, at such an interdisciplinary-minded school, many activities at the school will have something to do with an aspect of food systems. If you know of any food systems-related academic, research, events or other activities going on at the School of Arts and Sciences that you don’t see in the pages below, please let us know!
