Apolou Baseline Report: Household Wealth and Market Quality Report from Elizabeth Stites

Elizabeth Stites, along with Anastasia Marshak, Nate Ives, Kimberly Howe and Barbara Athieno published a report, “Apolou Baseline Report: Household Wealth and Market Quality Report,” through the Feinstein International Center in July 2019. This report reflects findings from the baseline quantitative study of a four-year research project in the Karamoja sub-region of Uganda. The report describes different aspects of wealth, such as animal-related wealth and farm-related wealth, and how they relate to two indices of wealth that the authors created as part of this study. The authors then examine how different wealth indices correlate with geographical and household characteristics, including food insecurity.
