The Day of Turkey is upon us, and we hope that you are leaning into an extra-long weekend of relaxation, reconnection, and food. Lots of food.

Your Hirsh Health Sciences Library team will also be taking some time to relax and unwind (and eat), we will have reduced hours this coming week.
The Library will close at 5:00 pm on Wednesday November 23, and remain closed until Sunday November 27 at noon. Building hours will remain the same.
We hope you enjoy some rest and relaxation over the holiday. Maybe get a head start with this Washington Post article “This farm offers turkey cuddling. No, really.”
On Friday, November 11, the library will have reduced hours in observance of Veterans Day. The circulation desk will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The building will still have normal card swipe access and will be available for you to study in.
The service desk will return to normal hours on Saturday. Librarians will be available for consultations on Monday, November 14.

In observance of Labor Day, the Hirsh Library Service Desk will have restricted hours on Monday, September 6th. The desk will be open Noon – 7pm that day, and there won’t be live chat. But you can e-mail us for help all the same, and we’ll get back to you when we can!
We will be back on Tuesday, open 7:45am – 8pm, with Live Chat going until 11pm that day.

The end of the semester is finally within reach! With the holidays now upon us, Hirsh Library will be operating with modified hours from Friday, December 20th through Wednesday, January 1st. The full schedule is as follows:
Friday, December 20st: 7:45am-5pm
Saturday, December 22nd-Wednesday, December 25th: Closed
Thursday, December 26th-Friday, December 27th: 7:45am-5pm
Saturday, December 28th- Sunday December 29th: Closed
Monday, December 30th-Tuesday, December 31st: 7:45am-5pm
Wednesday, January 1st: Closed
We will reopen for regular hours at 7:45am on Thursday, January 2nd.

In honor of Veterans Day (Monday, November 11th), Hirsh Health Sciences Library will have shortened hours. We will be open from 12pm – 7pm.
The Medical Education Building (Sackler) will still have card swipe access for its normal daily schedule, so you are welcome to swipe in and come study in the building! Just be aware that the desk on the 4th floor will only be staffed from 12pm – 7pm.

In observance of Patriots’ Day, the Library Service Desk will be open from 12pm-7pm on Monday April 15th. We will reopen for normal hours on Tuesday.
Patriots’ Day commemorates the first battles of the American Revolution at Lexington and Concord, which took place on April 19th, 1775. It is also the traditional day for the Boston Marathon. Thanksgiving break is here at last, which means Hirsh will be going on a short break next week too! We will close at 2pm on Wednesday, November 21st and will re-open for our regular hours on Sunday, November 25th at 12pm.
