Centroacinar Cells in Exocrine Pancreas of Mouse.

The exocrine portion of the pancreas is made up of acini, ducts and connective tissue. Each acinus is made up of a numberof pyrimidal secretory cells. The secretory cells show distinctive polarity. The apical cytoplasm contains the secretory granules and is eosinophilic. The basal cytoplasm contains the nucleus and a lot of RER and is basophilic. The inntercalated duct is intra-lobular and has low cuboidal epithelium. Original mag. 132x. H&E. Exocrine Pancreas. Digestive System. Mouse.
