Sebaceous glands in the skin of horse

Organ: Skin, Species: Horse, Comments: The secretory cells in the sebaceous glands have pale, vacuolated cytoplasm. The smaller, flatter cells in the peripheral are stem cells. The gland secretes via the holocrine mode: the whole secretory cell disintegrate and releases its content. The duct of a sweat gland is also present.
