Education and Training

Hospital staff and medical providers must receive appropriate training that includes interpersonal skills and empathy, and education on determinants of health. This learning can be scaffolded by increasing the number of and capacity of already-knowledgeable social workers and psychologists.  With additional training, education and collaboration, the medical team can better pinpoint origins of stress, address family concerns and run precise and concise routine screening for children’s mental health care.
