Applied knowledge in Medicinal Chemistry

It’s natural, in a crisis, to look toward action. How can I help? What is relevant about my schoolwork or my job when the world is turning inside out? It helps us make sense of the world, gives us a sense of purpose.

So it’s unsurprising that when Prof. Krishna Kumar in the Chemistry department gave his students the choice between taking the scheduled quiz and writing brief papers about SARS-CoV2, they chose the latter. Their collected responses, written in under four days, touch upon themes in the public eye and offer a range of options in response to the current crisis. Julia Fountain, the TA for the course, also deserves a shout out.
