Whether you’re a prospective student, a current Jumbo, or a proud alum, it is likely that the Tufts Office of Undergraduate Admissions played a role in your journey as a Jumbo (or Jumbo hopeful). As admissions rates continue to drop, and the competition for a coveted spot in the incoming class gets tougher by the year, a few current students decided to demystify what happens behind closed doors in Bendetson Hall.
Imogen Browder, A16, and Mary Cross, A16, invite us into an open, friendly, and informative dialogue with admissions officers, who discuss what they’re looking for in each application. What factors contribute to a successful application? Do word limits matter? Do officers check prospective students’ Facebook pages?
