Experiences from MSEM

Dan Catrope, E11, and Laura Bear, E13, are recent graduates from the Masters of Science in Engineering Management program through the Gordon Institute. The Gordon Institute’s MSEM program is designed as a part-time program for working engineers and technical professionals. It is aimed at instructing and creating leaders in technology-driven fields.

Dan and Laura recently talked about their experiences as students in the program and shared their thoughts on video. Laura even commented, “I think Tufts is the best decision that I’ve made, I’ve never learned so much in my life.”

Team “Tufts of Hair” Does Movember in Style

Mid-November signals the start of frantic preparations for Thanksgiving, dramatic drops in temperature, and the return of those beloved red cups at Starbucks. But it also signals a sudden spike in mustaches–and other fanciful facial hair creations–throughout the country: it’s Movember, the annual phenomenon that encourages men to grow mustaches while raising money for men’s health issues, including prostate cancer.

A team of graduate students at Tufts’ Gordon Institute have risen to the challenge and are encouraging others to support their team. The “Tufts of Hair” team features 15 members, including Tufts Professor James Nash, and has been racking up donations throughout the month.
