Introduction
Welcome to Up and Running with Stata. This is a 5-part video tutorial narrated by Dr. Katherine Rancaño, partially basing on contents provided by Dr. Misha Eliasziw.
Upon finishing this tutorials, viewers are expected to be able to:
- Understand the basic operation of Stata using drop-down menus and Stata command line
- Using “do file” to document Stata command lines so that the work is traceable and documented
- Be familiar with some useful commands in Stata
- Create simple data visualizations and export them into common graphical formats
- Create and apply labeling schemes to categorical variables
- Combine data through adding cases (rows) and variables (columns)
