In a collaborative team environment, proactively facilitate the day to day operations of the Engineering is Elementary store to ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience. This will include superior customer communication via phone and e-mail. Other tasks will include order processing via PO and the online store, creating price quotes and resolving shipping and/or order issues through building a strong relationship with our external distribution company. The position will also require the ability to understand the big picture operations and offer suggestions for improvement to systems and logistics related to the sales process and the customer experience as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer 20 phones calls/day
  • Answer 20 e-mails/day
  • Process 20 online orders/day
  • Process 15 Purchase Orders/day
  • Process 20 checks/day

WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.

REPORTS TO:

Finance & Store Operations Project Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors of Science or Arts degree preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a high throughput environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a detail oriented environment.
  • Experience working with Excel, Word, Outlook and the ability to conceptualize data in spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and/or research skills.
  • Prior experience working in a corporate sales environment with internal and external sales staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to train junior level staff in best practices of the team and offer guidance and support.

STARTING SALARY:

Non-Exempt (Hourly). Commensurate with experience.
