JOB DESCRIPTION: TRAVELING EXHIBITIONS MANAGER

Reporting to the Curator, the Traveling Exhibitions Manager leads the delivery of consistently high quality traveling exhibitions at domestic and international venues. This position coordinates and schedules traveling exhibitions, including loan agreements, invoices, and shipment, in addition to promoting and marketing the program. Responsibilities include the preparation of budgets and schedules, exhibition design, layout, graphics, presentation strategy, and audio/visual delivery systems. The Traveling Exhibitions Manager supervises and coordinates contractors, including framers, printers, graphic designers, and shippers. The ideal candidate will have a Masters Degree in Museum Studies or a related field, and a broad knowledge of exhibition design and fabrication. This position requires the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines to plan projects independently and bring them to fruition on a timely basis.
