Lamont Gallery is seeking an intern for the 2015-2016 school year to work with exhibitions, gallery education, and collections. The gallery sponsors six main exhibitions yearly, hosts a number of smaller and short-term exhibitions in side bay galleries and in other locations across campus, and coordinates gallery visits and activities for PEA classes, local schools, and the general public. The intern will work closely with gallery staff to plan and implement educational outreach programs and to develop resources in conjunction with each exhibition, to support the installation process, to assist with organizing and research gallery collections, and to help with other exhibition-related activities, such as writing signage and creating temporary displays. This position is designed for a recent graduate with a degree in studio art, art history, arts administration, or a related field. Experience with gallery management and arts education is preferred, as well as familiarity with technology. Contributions in other areas of boarding school life include dormitory residence, interscholastic or club sports, or extracurricular sports. Phillips Exeter Academy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
