Communications Associate

Description:
The Berkshire Museum is hiring a full-time Communications Associate to join our team and help share the word about the Museum’s vibrant, year-round offerings. Work closely with the director of communications to plan and implement marketing and PR strategies; responsibilities include using multiple social media channels to communicate and engage the Museum’s varied audience, managing the website, graphic design and photography, community interaction, and more.

Qualifications:
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in related field; a minimum of two years experience in website management; excellent organizational and communication skills; strong written and verbal communications skills; working knowledge of WordPress; Photoshop; Word; InDesign; experience with Facebook, Twitter, and other online platforms; firm understanding of marketing principles and design basics; ability to work and/or type at a desk, climb stairs, stand for upwards of an hour at a time, and lift up to 30 pounds; ability to work under minimal supervision and in a team environment; and ability to work a flexible schedule.
