Teen New Media Program Associate

Description:
The Teen New Media Program Associate supports the ICA’s efforts to connect Boston-area youth with contemporary visual culture by providing opportunities to engage with new media, including digital filmmaking, digital photography, and DJ-ing. He/she will assist instructors for Teen New Media workshops and will serve as the lead instructor for selected Teen New Media workshops that reflect the incumbent’s area of expertise.  The Teen New Media Associate provides administrative support to the program by maintaining files, tracking data for teen new media programs, coordinating recruitment efforts, registration, and attendance and coordinating with instructors, Boston Public Schools, and other entities to help ensure a successful program.

Qualifications:
BA or BFA in media arts, art education or related field, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in at least one area of new media, including video, photography, DJing, or Adobe Creative Suite. Experience working with Apple computers and products. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. One-two years’ experience in an administrative role. Experience working with teens and demonstrated knowledge of contemporary art or education. Ability to design lesson plans, work independently, and manage multiple projects and once. Ability to operate office equipment and general mobility throughout the building required. Full-time schedule is 40 hours per week on-site, and events as required. Successful completion of a CORI background check required.
