Communications and Development Intern

  • Time: 24-32 hours/week

Interns at Design Museum Boston are provided with some of the most unique experiences one can receive as a student. Interns become an integral member of our team and play a vital role in the success of the organization. Design Museum Boston is seeking a Communications and Development intern to join our team this fall. This position requires strong organizational skills, graphic design, excellent writing and interpersonal skills the ability to complete research. The intern will report to and assist the Associate Director in variety of duties such as prospect research and identification as well as developing web content and graphics.

Qualifications:
Experience necessary:<ul “margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;”=””>

  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Graphic design skills, particularly the Adobe CreativeSuite
  • Ability to troubleshoot & solve problems on the spot!
  • Experience working at a start-up or non-profit is suggested but not required

Knowledge of the following tools/processes required:Adobe CreativeSuite (in particular Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)WordPress, MailChimp, Pages, Keynote, and Numbers,Googledocs, Dropbox
