Development Assistant

Hill-Stead Museum seeks a full time Development Assistant. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Assistant is responsible for data entry, grant tracking and research related to fundraising initiatives. Duties include supporting the Manager of Membership and Annual Fund on database entry related to general membership, volunteers, donors, annual fund donations, and fundraiser reservations and auction items; researching and tracking grant opportunities to ensure all application and final report deadlines are met; providing necessary data for senior management to prepare the annual budget; and processing receivables and payables. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelors’ degree and experience with data entry, database management, and web-based research and excellent and intuitive computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) applications. Preferred qualifications include two+ years in a non-profit environment; proficiency in Raiser’s Edge or comparable fundraising database software and experience working on membership and annual fund campaigns and major fundraising events.
