Plains Art Museum seeks a Director/C.E.O. to provide leadership, vision, and direction in accordance with the mission and values of the organization as established by the Board of Directors.  Please visit our website www.plainsart.org for full job description.

Education – This position requires an advanced degree in Art History or related field, Arts Administration, Public Administration, or Business Management, with concentration in Art History and/or Liberal Arts background preferred.

Experience – Five or more years of senior level museum or non-profit management experience.  Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.

Abilities – Must be able to fulfill the public obligations of the organization, including public speaking and some travel.  Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with the Board of Directors, staff, external sources, and the community.
