Studio Art Program Coordinator

Under the direction of the Manager of Studio Art Classes and Workshops, the Studio Art Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Education Department’s Studio Art Class Program for children, teenagers and adults, including various aspects of customer service, organization, data entry, and planning necessary for program implementation.Essential functions include: provide studio course related customer service to existing and potential students, parents, and studio partners for all studio courses and workshops; assist the Manager of the Studio Art Classes in the supervision of program instructors, interns, Studio Technician and NU co-op students by reporting any issues or concerns that arise in the Manager’s absence; build and update Studio Art Class events in internal ticketing system, calendar system, and content management systems; assist with supplies orders, model payments, instructor reimbursements, and other budget related tasks; oversee the start of every class during the first week of each season.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or above, along with one to three years of experience in office management, with a demonstrated track record of excellent customer service; strong communication skills both written and verbal; good interpersonal skills with high attention to detail; ease with various software applications, such as Microsoft Excel, Tessitura and content management software systems; ability to lift over 50lbs at shoulder height and to utilize staircases; experience with Art-making and studio practice is preferred.
