Sr. Manager, Operations & Facilities [Vulcan Inc, Everett, WA]

The Flying Heritage Collection (FHC), based in Everett, WA is looking for an energetic, personable, capable, self-sufficient candidate willing to look outside the box to join the team as the Sr. Manager, Operations and Facilities.  This person will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of operations including multiple special events and two gift stores, the maintenance of FHC’s seven leased hangars and other properties, marketing integration, and general business operations. This is a hands-on management positon with overall responsibility for providing an exceptional experience and excellent customer service to museum guests.

The ideal candidate will have 8 plus years’ experience in operations, facilities and event management.  They must have had previous experience managing people.

This position will handle multiple complex projects; knowledge of business and management principles involved in finance, strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources is imperative as is the ability to understand, manage and implement policies and procedures, including making procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential, and urgent issues.   Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to professionally interact with vendors, employees and the public is a must have. This person must also be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Work hours can extend past normal business hours; this position will be required to work every other Saturday during flying season (May – Sept)
