Manager of Guest Services (Full-Time).  [Position #643] The Thomas Jefferson Foundation is the nonprofit organization that owns and operates Monticello, Jefferson’s mountaintop estate and the only home in America designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Monticello welcomes approximately 440,000 guests on an annual basis for a variety of tours, educational programs, and special events. The Foundation seeks a Manager of Guest Services to manage the Guest Services staff, as well as oversee guest correspondence and the administrative areas of the division.  Additional job responsibilities include coordination of operational and logistical needs with other Foundation departments, budget management, feedback and evaluation for Guest Services staff, and responsibility for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance.

Requirements

Successful candidates will have knowledge of best practices in providing high quality customer service; knowledge of ADA requirements and practices; and ability to articulate and advocate for the needs of guests and the staff members serving them. Experience working with guests at attractions, parks, museums, or historic sites is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality management preferred with progressive work experience related to customer service and supervision of staff.
