Working closely with the Assistant Manager of School Partnerships and Outreach Programs, the Outreach Educator will assist with the implementation of Outreach and Distance Learning Programs for the School Programs section of the MFA’s Education Department. Responsibilities include: teach programs, both in-person at schools and organizations throughout Greater Boston, as well as virtually, via web-based live video streaming technology to connect with K-12 classrooms globally; schedule and bill for programs; assist with implementation of marketing and public relations to promote the MFA’s Outreach and Distance Learning Programs.

Temporary position through June 30, 2016. 10 hours per week; 5 hour days, 2 days per week.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, along with one to three years of related Art Education experience; demonstrated teaching skills; demonstrated computer skills; familiarity with web-based distance learning technologies preferred; familiarity with Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) preferred; ability to serve as an ambassador for the MFA in the schools; reliability, flexibility, diplomacy; valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
