Sales Lead — MFA Guides

Join the Member and Visitor Services team for the highly acclaimed “Class Distinctions: Dutch Painting in the Age of Rembrandt in Vermeer.”

The “ Sales Lead – MFA Guides” is responsible for audio guide sales for the general collection and special exhibitions. As a key member of the Member and Visitor Services and MFA Guide teams, you will actively engage visitors to purchase and use the MFA guide, process sales using the Tessitura ticketing system, and work with fellow sales associates to optimize the flow of devices throughout the Museum. You will work with Admissions Managers and IT to address any needed adjustments in equipment charging and repair. With an eye towards future innovations, you’ll have the opportunity to periodically work with IT to conduct usability studies to improve the visitor experience using MFA Guides. Between special exhibitions, you will work with the MFA Guide team to test new sales strategies.

 

This is a term position scheduled to end 6/30/16.

Qualifications:
A proven sales star, the ideal candidate will have the following characteristics: excellent communication skills; engaging personality; strict attention to detail; cash handling experience; computer proficiency; ability to perform well under pressure; ability to stand for extended periods of time; ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to work occasional evenings. Associates degree, BA or BS preferred.
