Digital Content Coordinator (Temp, Part-Time)

Description:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Communications, the Digital Content Coordinator will help develop and coordinate digital content in collaboration with the communications team and museums clients. Tasks include populating social media channels (writing, scheduling social media posts, editing contributions from communications colleagues); maintaining an editorial calendar for social channels; supporting the team with photography, video clips, and other multi-media content for social channels; collecting and interpreting analytics; monitoring social channels and engaging online users on behalf of Harvard Art Museums. This is a 90 day temporary position; 20 hours/week. The hours are very flexible within the M-F work week.
Please note that the location for this particular position is in an off-site building in Somerville, near the Sullivan Square T. MBTA buses 86, 91 and CT2 run nearby. Hourly shuttle service is provided to and from the off-site location to the Harvard Art Museums, with the shuttle stop located on the corner of Prescott Street & Broadway in Cambridge. There is a parking lot (free) at the Somerville location if you choose to drive there.

Qualifications:
We are seeking a social media savvy self-starter dedicated to story-telling on multiple platforms with an interest in evolving trends in social media and innovating on social channels. Individual must be a highly collaborative team-player, well-practiced in meeting deadlines and working in a quickly-paced communications office. Marketing communications or public relations experience with social media responsibilities is required, including:

  • experience overseeing and creating content for multiple social media platforms;
  • experience tracking, analyzing and interpreting online data to help inform marketing planning, whereas proficiency in Google Analytics and social media analytics tools a plus; and
  • Strong proofreading ability, with experience editing content for grammar, punctuation, style and flow.
