DEPARTMENT: Exhibitions

REPORTS TO: Director of Exhibitions

JOB SUMMARY: Full Time 16 month position. Excellent Vectorworks, detailing and Photoshop skills required. Must be collaborative, have excellent time management and follow detailed instruction.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Draw display elements and fixtures, details drawings, scales & drafts artifacts.

Draw elevations and plans.

Input data into Excel worksheets.

Identify objects in drawings referenced to departmental checklists.

Create and work within exhibition schedules.

Model making prototypes.

3D modeling and rendering.

Fast sketching ability.

Additional duties as requested.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

This is largely a sedentary role using a computer; however, some filing is required.  This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stoop as necessary.

Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial design, Exhibition design, Display design or related field required.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum five years museum experience required.
