Description

The American Alliance of Museums seeks a proactive project manager with strong administrative skills to support our fast-paced Executive office.  Under the direction of the Chief of Staff, the Executive Assistant will coordinate special projects and support organizational wide activities such as the Annual Meeting and Museums Advocacy Day. The Executive Assistant will also provide administrative support for the President & CEO and Vice Presidents to include answering phones and emails; drafting routine correspondence; coordinating mailings; making travel arrangements; preparing expense reports; scheduling and handling logistics for internal and external meetings; preparing briefings; and assisting with research.

Requirements

Ideal candidate has superior writing and communications skills and a minimum of 3 years administrative experience, preferably providing executive level support.  Requires strong organizational and Microsoft Office skills as well as ability to handle confidential information and maintain effective working relationships with external contacts as well as employees at all levels of the organization.  Bachelor’s degree, non-profit experience and an interest in museums preferred.
