Education Director

Full-time, exempt, Masters Degree required.

Salary Range: $72,500 – $82,000, negotiable, based on experience and background

The Institute of Flight (formerly known as Future of Flight Foundation) seeks an

Education Director to lead, develop and provide direct supervision of team that

includes 2 full-time staff and one part-time staff member. The Education Director

will oversee development, and facilitation of Aerospace related STEAM programs,

and evaluation of a wide variety of curriculum and educational programs, serving

over 10,000+ students and teachers a year, both on-site at Future of Flight Aviation

Center and throughout the community. Responsibilities include setting and

managing the Education budget, creating a marketing plan, and tracking and

reporting program results. The Director will develop and nurture relationships with

other educational entities and networks throughout the state and will manage both

small- and large-scale projects with community partners, in order to work

systemically to affect change. Minimum qualifications include a Masters degree,

five years professional experience with both personnel and project management,

excellent writing and organizational skills, flexibility, imagination, and a passion

for lifelong learning. Some weekends and evenings required. Institute of Flight is

located on an 11 acre campus serving as the operator for the Future of Flight

Aviation Center and Boeing Tour which is located on Paine Field in Mukilteo,

WA. (45 minutes North of Seattle).
