Development Internship (Summer 2016)

Martha’s Vineyard Museum, Edgartown, MA

The Development Intern will work directly with Development staff on all aspects of database management. S/he will need a high degree of comfort working with the public, competence in use of technology for tasks including data entry and scanning, as well as an ability to keep confidences, and a strong interest all aspects of fundraising including special events. The majority of time will be spent working within our database to update accounts, process contributions and memberships, keep track of event RSVPs, and send mailings. Occasional work in the evenings and on weekends required. Sense of humor is a must. This position is ideal for someone interested in the “behind the scenes” work that it takes to run a small museum. The development internship is a full-time internship requiring at least 40 hours per week. Due to the flexibility needed in scheduling, this internship will be awarded a $4,000 stipend.
