Education Department, Newport Restoration Foundation. This position assists with developing and implementing educational programming and tours for three museum sites. 2-3 years experience working with the public in an educational or customer service capacity required, preferably in a museum setting. Candidate should possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; be able to organize and manage multiple details without losing sight of the larger mission; and be flexible, good natured and self-motivated. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s desired, in education, museum studies, art history, history, historic preservation, or related field. Duties: Assist in creating, planning and implementing public programs, events and interpretive initiatives; conduct tours and educational programs; carry out administrative tasks; work as team within the Education Department to fulfill NRF’s mission.
