Instructor – Steampunk Art & Design

Description:
Fuller Craft Museum seeks instructors for our upcoming Teen Steampunk Art & Design Workshop. The workshop will be held Tuesday – Friday from 10 am – 12 pm, April 19 – 22, 2016. Must be outgoing, enjoy working with youth ages 13 – 18 and meet desired qualifications (below).

The primary function of the Steampunk Workshop Instructor position is to assist the students in fabricating their artwork. The Steampunk Workshop Instructor will provide assistance with studio teaching, the proper use of all tools and equipment, and student learning in a previously designed curriculum. Qualifications:

  1. Previous teaching experience.
  2. Currently working toward, or completed an Associate of BFA degree.
  3. Knowledge of soldering equipment.
  4. Knowledge of creating various forms of three dimensional works of art.
  5. Experience working in plaster, wood, clay, and found objects as possible mediums for three dimensional art.
  6. Experience with the use of all metal and wood working tools.
  7. Prior employment, internship or volunteer experience.
