The Shirley-Eustis House located in Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking to hire two seasonal employees for a period of approximately 18 weeks with a starting date of June 2, 2016. Docent training will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016. Our docents are called upon during the year as well to help staff events. Our Annual Staff Series takes place in August. JOB DESCRIPTIONS: These seasonal positions will provide historic interpretative tours as docents during our summer and early fall season (Approximately 18 weeks). These positions will also assist in special events and demonstrations held during the summer season. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidates will have experience working with the public, all ages and backgrounds, and have an interest or experience in history, archaeology, and/or community relations. Undergraduates and Graduate students are encouraged to apply. Experience with computers, digital cameras and general office machines are also required. Should be able to work independently and as a team player, with minimal supervision; be able to start a project and see it through from start to finish. Interest in Harry Potter is a plus!
