Museum Educator

The New England Air Museum seeks outgoing individuals to join our Museum Educator team. Museum Educators play an essential role in providing high quality visitor experiences by conducting a variety of public programs for youth and families. Responsibilities include leading hands-on Build & Fly Challenges, interactive Flight Science demonstrations, and open cockpit experiences in our historic aircraft. Other duties include leading children’s birthday parties as well as assisting with scout programs and special events as needed. Experience working with children in educational settings is required, as is an interest in the history of aviation. Some college coursework is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Education, History, Science, or a related field is preferred. This is a part-time, non-exempt position that pays $15 per hour and requires weekend availability. Some weekday availability is also required during the months of July and August, and during school vacation weeks. Some evenings and holidays will also be required. Hours are 10:00am-4:30pm, up to 13 hours per week during the school year and up to 26 hours per week during the summer and school vacation weeks.
