Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

•   Develops and initiates arts programs for adults and youth.

•   Maintains or supervises the maintenance of the ceramics studio.

•   Develops and administers the annual arts education budget.

•   Trains, assigns, directs, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines personnel (part times
and instructors).

•   Schedules and organizes special events that promote the arts.

•   Plans and staffs day and overnight trips to museums and other art related locations.

•   Facilitates arts educational promotional tours and activities for the general public,
school groups, and other group opportunities.

•   Fosters relationships with local, regional, state, and national organizations.

•   Promotes development of reciprocal relationships with educational institutions; such as
local high schools, colleges and universities to support and reinforce arts programs.

•   Records participation statistics.

•   Maintains and updates mailing lists.

•   Schedules and facilitates volunteer activities.

•   Works with the Recreation Services Supervisor to coordinate marketing efforts for arts
education programs.

•   Conducts professional and other workshops.

•   Performs other related duties as assigned.
