Description

San Luis Obispo Museum of Art (SLOMA), founded in 1952 and located in California’s beautiful Central Coastal Region, is seeking a Director of Capital Campaign/Development who has experience and success in leading capital campaigns.  Initially, the successful candidate will focus primarily on directing the Capital Campaign within SLOMA’s overall development strategy.  Once the campaign is completed, the Director will focus on developing a more comprehensive ongoing development strategy.

SLOMA has become a beacon for the visual arts with over 54,000 visitors annually.  The museum has also garnered the support of the community and the city to be part of developing the City’s cultural center.   The city approved plans are to build a new a state of the art, aesthetically stunning, $12 million museum within San Luis Obispo’s downtown cultural corridor.  The building will house local and international artists, accommodate educational and community involved programming and special events.
