Description:
The Attleboro Arts Museum is currently seeking qualified art instructors for its 2016 Summer Art programming.  All Museum instructors are independent contractors.   We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic candidates that love art and believe deeply in the Museum’s mission to support the creative and artistic development of both promising and professional artists.

Summer camp instructors are responsible creating and implementing art curriculum for ages 9 -13.  Camps run Monday – Friday from 9am-3pm.  We are looking for an instructor for our final week of August 22 – 26, 2016.  The Attleboro Arts Museum’s weeklong summer art sessions combine looking at professional artwork in the Museum gallery with fun, age-appropriate art-making experiences in the Museum studios.  Students will try new approaches, materials and gain self-confidence.  Museum instructors work to provide individualized attention to our budding artists.

Qualifications:
Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (concentration in Visual Arts, Art History, 2-D Art, etc)

• Teaching certification.

Other Skill Requirements:

• Outstanding communication skills which include the ability to use clear, concise and grammatically correct written and oral language in all aspects of professional interaction with students, their families, peers, faculty, leadership and the larger community.

• Instructors must have a car.
