The Cornell Fine Arts Museum at Rollins College is seeking candidates for a fellowship position.” The Montgomery Fellowship is a one-year, in-residence appointment in the curatorial department of the museum with a special emphasis on education. Serving as principal liaison to museum docents, this role works with the curator and education coordinator to recruit and train new docents; updates existing curriculum; and creates new content for temporary exhibitions and new acquisitions. Additional responsibilities include participating in class visits by Rollins and other area students; hosting gallery tours to adult groups; conducting outreach lectures in the community; preparing and presenting at least one special lecture in the museum’s series of Friday lectures; contributing to research of the permanent collection in area of expertise; and assisting the curator with collection management efforts.

Qualifications:

–          Master’s degree in Art History, Museum Education or related field

–          At least one year of museum or teaching experience

–          Expertise in European Old Masters, American or contemporary art

–          Ph.D. in Art History and Bilingual/Spanish preferred
