Description
- Work with exhibits design team (Curators and support staff) in the design of new permanent exhibits or improvements to existing exhibits.
- Develops, monitors, and meets schedules and budgets.
- Fabricate and install exhibits.
- Help write exhibit script.
- Schedule & install temporary exhibits, fabricate labels, and coordinate exhibit openings.
- Maintain a record of all temporary exhibits.
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of exhibit fabrication and installation experience in a natural history museum.
- Knowledge of best practices in exhibition design, and working.
- Knowledge of standard construction techniques, museum casework design, and lighting.
- Must be familiar with hand and power tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
- Superior organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years of exhibit fabrication and installation experience in a natural history museum.
