Description

  • Work with exhibits design team (Curators and support staff) in the design of new permanent exhibits or improvements to existing exhibits.
  • Develops, monitors, and meets schedules and budgets.
  • Fabricate and install exhibits.
  • Help write exhibit script.
  • Schedule & install temporary exhibits, fabricate labels, and coordinate exhibit openings.
  • Maintain a record of all temporary exhibits.
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of exhibit fabrication and installation experience in a natural history museum.
  • Knowledge of best practices in exhibition design, and working.
  • Knowledge of standard construction techniques, museum casework design, and lighting.
  • Must be familiar with hand and power tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years of exhibit fabrication and installation experience in a natural history museum.
