Our Box Office Team serves as the face of New England Aquarium greeting visitors from around the world and assisting them in making their Aquarium experience memorable. Join us as a Supervisor in this front-line department and enjoy all the excitement and energy that comes from working with our visitors to share our passion for the ocean and its inhabitants.

As a Supervisor, you will hire, train and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to our talented staff of cashiers, hosts and teen interns. Responsibilities will include maintaining excellent communications with colleagues from multiple aquarium departments, overseeing the opening, closing and daily operations of the box office and Theatre, performing end-of-day financial reconciliation, ensuring equipment is in good working order, scheduling, tracking of performance and financial data, promptly finding and correcting any POS ringing errors and routinely creating and implementing incentives and morale boosting initiatives.

As a member of our front-line leadership team, you will lead by example demonstrating an exceptional commitment to customer service and maintaining a consistent and supportive leadership presence for the team.

SCHEDULE:

Full time 35 hour work week scheduled between 8:00am and 8:00pm Sunday Thursday.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS

Required Training and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in fast paced, high volume cash handling operation.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be enthusiastic, energetic and committed to exceptional customer service.
  • Experience with monetary reconciliation and knowledge of POS ticketing programs.
  • Skilled supervisor of staff; able to create a positive work environment and to maintain staff morale/team spirit.
  • Strong organizational, communication, computer, POS systems, and math skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve customer concerns and address challenging customer situations in a professional manner.
  • Capable of rendering mature judgment and relating to a wide variety of people.
  • Self-directed, adept multi-tasker, and resourceful problem solver.
  • First Aid and CPR certification recommended.
  • Passion for the mission of New England Aquarium.
