Description

The Driehaus Museum (DriehausMuseum.org) is currently seeking a full-time Marketing Manager responsible for initiating and carrying out the Museum’s annual marketing and communications plan. The Marketing Manager develops and coordinates the production and dissemination of marketing collateral, develops strategies for communicating with the Museum’s various audiences, liaises with media and PR consultants, and supports the promotion of the Museum’s various activities including, but not limited to exhibitions, programs, facility rentals, membership, group tours, and the store through targeted advertising and promotion to engage current and new audiences and members and to achieve annual income and attendance goals. The Marketing Manager manages updates to the website and is responsible for the Museum’s social media presence. The Marketing Manager works in conjunction with other internal staff and consultants to ensure the strategic implementation of all marketing initiatives.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, and/or Public Relations with experience in a non-profit setting. A sound knowledge of and interest in art history, history, architectural history, or related disciplines is an asset. Proven writing and editing skills along with familiarity with Adobe graphic design software.

The candidate must have the ability to manage complex, ongoing projects along with excellent organizational, problem solving, decision-making, communication (verbal & written), and public relations skills. Additionally, the candidate must have the ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently.

We are seeking a self-starter with a high level of initiative and strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a busy and collaborative work environment. Demonstrated project experience is preferred. Some early morning, evenings and weekends may be required. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial candidate to help further the Museum’s mission and marketing initiatives.
