Through the Robotics for All gift from Amazon Robotics, Tufts Center for Engineering Education and Outreach (CEEO) has been able to expand efforts to develop culturally infused robotics education in the Navajo and Hopi nations. This includes: assisting with the dissemination online of resources developed by Key’ah Advanced Rural Manufacturing Alliance (or KARMA, a Navajo-based non-profit); supporting the operation of an in-person summit aimed at sharing resources and ideas with educators and community members of Navajo and Hopi nations; working with two more schools (one in Navajo and one in Hopi) in a growing community practicing culturally infused robotics education in their classrooms; developing resources to aid maverick teachers in Navajo with dramatically expanding participation in First Tech robotics competitions.
