In the Mechanical Engineering Senior design course, we are harnessing Robotics for All funding to enable our students to develop and fabricate more sophisticated robot designs.  Robotics projects tend to require more resources than other types of capstone project.  With Robotics for All funding, we have been able to allow student teams to propose budgets customized to their projects, with larger budgets for projects like the Vending Machine Robot task, the Automated Shaft Cutting Machine, the Cardboard Repurposing Robot, the Floor Marking Robot, and the Robotics in Nature project.

Nolop Makerspace used funding to purchase a new laser cutter which receives uploads at a rate of around 250 files per week. The laser cutter saved the fall 2023 semester for hundreds of students when the older one was damaged just before finals!
