天地有大美而不言
四时有明法而不议
万物有成理而不说
圣人者
原天地之美而达万物之理。
——《庄子 • 知北游》
“物理” is the Chinese translation for “physics”.
Space has its own great beauty yet speaks nothing of it
Time has its own clear law yet utters nothing of it
Everything has it own existing principle yet explains nothing of it
The sages source the beauty of spacetime and reach the truth of everything
——”Chuang Tzu (369 BC – 286 BC) • Knowledge Rambling in the North“
My name is WANG, Shao-Jiang (王少江). I was born in Wenzhou city of China. I am currently a postdoctoral associate at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. I was planning to begin my Quantum Universe Center (QUC) Research Fellow at Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) for my second-term postdoc starting from September 2020 after finishing my first-term postdoc at the Tufts Institute of Cosmology, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Tufts University starting from September 2018. Due to the deep concern of the persistent risk working outside China in this pandemic of Covid-19, I had no choice but gave up the QUC Fellow at KIAS, for which I felt greatly sorry.
I got my Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences at Beijing in 2018.
I have been working on different topics of cosmology, gravitation, and particle physics including cosmic inflation, modified gravity, dark energy, dark matter, holographic complexity, baryon acoustic oscillation, gravitational waves, cosmic microwave background, primordial black hole, Higgs, axion, quantum cosmology, swampland conjectures, cold atom, Hubble tension, cosmic string (to be continued).
