Science Diplomacy Dissertation Enhancement Workshop

Are you thinking about careers in Science Diplomacy? Are you interested in advocating for Science in general?

The Science Diplomacy Dissertation Enhancement Workshop can help!

First of its kind in the Boston area, the two-days Science Diplomacy workshop aims to provide participants with 1) an understanding of science diplomacy theory & practice and 2) soft skills such as negotiation and dispute resolution techniques in relation to scientific issues in national and international settings.

The workshop will be held August 24-25, 2017 at the Breed Memorial Hall, Tufts University. The workshop is co-organized by: Professor Paul Arthur Berkman (Professor of Practice in Science Diplomacy, The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University) & Professor Lawrence Susskind (Department of Urban Studies and Planning, Massachusetts Institute of Technology), under the auspices of the emerging Science Diplomacy Center.

The program can be found here, and material to prepare for the workshop, here. A networking event with more than 25 members from various diplomatic missions of the Boston area will take place in the evening of the 24th.

Late registration information can be accessed here. Please note that a $50 fee supports catering, facility and logistics for the workshop. Thank you!
