AOTA Involvement

The current executive board’s AOTA representative, Justine Ramos, has facilitated advocacy activities, such as letter writing to our state representative about relevant healthcare policy and promoting bill support! Past representatives have also lead AOTA “boot camp” to prepare students for conference attendance.

Outside of advocacy activities, SOTA facilitates student’s involvement with the American Occupational Therapy Association, the field’s leading national association. Students frequently attend AOTA’s annual conference, as well the Massachusetts Association of Occupational Therapy’s (MAOT) statewide conference. Tufts has had both faculty and students present at these events.

Tufts was recently recognized by AOTA as having 100% student membership, qualifying the University as Gold Level members.
