SOTA social chairs coordinate fun and cost-efficient activities that allow students to relax in their time off from school. Past activities have included kayaking on the Fells River, enjoying trampoline parks, and Valentine’s Day Cards making event, ice cream socials, Guess The Baby event, visiting local breweries.

The social chairs also spearhead a program called SOTA Buddies where they match incoming students with current students before their first semester. The current students can help them navigate the orientation process, give advice or answer questions, and serve as a resource throughout their first year.

During the height of the pandemic, SOTA was able to maintain social connection via Zoom happy hours and Yoga nights. Now as we are back in person, SOTA has stressed inter-cohort connection and continues to host social events. Check out some of those events below!
