Code of Conduct

Social Sciences Librarians Boot Camp (SSLBC) encourages and supports an open exchange of ideas within a respectful environment. We value your attendance and are dedicated to a positive event experience for all participants. We want SSLBC to be welcoming and supportive, for all participants.

Participation in discussions and activities should be respectful at all times. All are expected to exercise tolerance of the perspectives and opinions of all present.  We ask that participants use discretion with photographs of others, recordings, and publicly sharing others’ ideas.

We do not tolerate verbal or physical harassment in any form. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the SSLBC planning committee may take any action it deems appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event. If you are being harassed, witness another participant being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact an event organizer immediately. Event organizers will wear identifying buttons, and the registration desk will be staffed throughout the event. For less urgent matters, you may email
