Transform your classroom with engineering education and you’ll create an environment that unleashes your students’ excitement for learning and capacity for endless creativity

With education standards now calling for engineering education and curricula, an evolving array of technology and resources, and creativity on the national agenda, it’s an exciting time to be a teacher.

We know you want your classroom to be an engaging place for kids to learn, and we know you have a strong desire to produce lifelong problem solvers who solve the world’s great challenges. You want to see your students having a great time while learning how to work in teams, how to apply knowledge across disciplines, and how to fail.

But we also know you have standards to address, requirements to meet, and you don’t have a lot of extra time on your hands. And we know bringing all of the things you want together with all of your requirements can be daunting.

That’s where engineering education can help. Because it’s naturally both structured and open-ended, integrating the engineering process into a child’s K12 education serves dual purposes – it enables teachers to change their learning environments and approach their requirements in a way that engages all students, and in students it imbeds the creativity and curiosity required for success in school and beyond.

Tufts University’s groundbreaking Center for Engineering Education and Outreach (CEEO) pioneered the field of K12 engineering education and research, producing a body of supporting research and training thousands of practicing teachers to integrate hands-on inquiry-based engineering principles into K12 classrooms. Now available to you is the CEEO’s Teacher Engineering Education Program, a flexible, affordable, and one-of-a-kind graduate experience that consolidates all those years of research and application into an 18-month journey that enables any teacher to use the power of engineering education to prepare their students to change the world.
