- Frozen Sectioning: Preparation, freezing, and cutting of frozen sections with fixing, staining, and cover-slipping. Investigator use of cryostat allowed after training.
- Tissue Trimming: Ensuring best orientation of fixed tissues, with decalcification of bone specimens.
- Tissue Embedding: Correct orientation of samples in paraffin wax.
- Tissue Sectioning: Standard 5µm paraffin sections, advanced sectioning (step sectioning, levels), and unstained sections for further procedures.
- Staining: Standard H&E, special stains, rapid H&E for frozen sections, and coverslipping.
- Tissue Microarray (TMA): Up to 15 (5mm) cores in TMA molds.
